FAQ

The Photographer’s experience

1.How many weddings do you shoot per year on average?

Very often we’re asked, “How many weddings do you do a year?” We think it’s a great question to ask! Clients want to know for a few reasons, but mostly we think hearing this number assures them that we’re real photographers who do this for an actual living and that we’re smart about time management and don’t bite off more than we can chew. Other photographers ask us this question quite a bit as well, just out of curiosity. We’re always happy to answer! We learned early on in our career that finding the right balance is key, so we decided to stick to a maximum number of weddings booked within a calendar year, a number that wouldn’t overwhelm us, giving us the ability to give each couple the most amazing experience we can provide. This number also serves as a goal and a way for us to keep track of how well we’re doing and gauge our financial success.

2. What do you enjoy about photographing weddings specifically?

Weddings are truly one of the most special moments in a person’s life. There is so much emotion all around and people seem to really put away their differences (for the most part) and come together to celebrate as a family. Being surrounded by all that love and warmth is something I really enjoy. The way a mom’s eyes mist up when she sees her son all grown up ready to start his own family, that instant when a dad realises that his little girl is not so little anymore, the first kiss between a married couple! What can I say – I am a hopeless romantic at heart and really enjoy being part of someone’s special day. There is always something going on and each wedding I photograph is different from the previous one. You get to spend the day capturing romance, laughter, joy, anticipation, excitement, and many other photographic moments for your clients.

GGC understands that while the event may be many months away, a lot is still in flux and a lot can happen between now and then. Most events are booked between six months and a year out. So, when an event is canceled, there is little likelihood of our booking another event in its place.

    • For events booked more than six months in advance, if the event has, prior to six months before the event date, been either canceled or rescheduled to a date for which none of GGC’s teams are available, then GGC will refund all Partial Payments, Down Payments or otherwise excluding an amount equal to the Administration Fee.
    • Within six months of the event, if there is a change in date or change in location that we cannot reasonably accommodate, 50% of all Partial Payments, Down Payments or otherwise previously collected payments will be held forfeit and not refunded, with the exception of amounts exceeding the total of Shooters Fees, Administration Fees and Fees Associated with Services Already Rendered.
    • Within one month of the event if there is a significant change in date/time that we cannot reasonably accommodate, all Partial Payments, Down Payments or otherwise previously collected payments will be held forfeit and not refunded, with the exception of amounts exceeding the total of Shooters Fees, Administration Fees and Fees Associated with Services Already Rendered.
